What are some of the qualities of companies that go up in value by 100x or more?
I am a firm believer that at the end of the day, it is the fundamental performance of the BUSINESS that ultimately determines the long term value of a company.
In this presentation, I use Church & Dwight (the company behind Arm & Hammer baking soda) as a case study of a simple to understand company that has gone up in price by more than 100x over time. Actually over its entire trading history, it has gone up in price by more than 1,000 times, not counting dividends. Speaking of which, they have now paid dividends consecutively for more than 120 years! In this video, I also invited Liz to share about an amazing work she is doing in Kenya to help farmers become self sufficient on their land and break out of the cycle of poverty. You can find out more at Jo Shire Memorial Trust and how YOU can play a part. It is so heartwarming to see families break out of poverty, crime rates drop, harvests improve, the local orphanage gets funded by local farmers. A beautiful virtuos cycle.
